Tiger Woods Named Athlete of Decade

American golfer Tiger Woods has been voted as the Athlete of the Decade by US sports editors, just 4 days after announcing a break from golf.

Woods achieved almost 40% of the 142 votes by the Associated Press poll, and finished ahead of cyclist Lance Armstrong (23%), and tennis player Roger Federer (18%).

Nike golfer Woods has won 64 golf tournaments since the turn of the century, including 12 Majors. His total of 14 Majors leaves him just 4 behind the legendary Jack Nicklaus, despite only being 33 years of age.

In his golf bag, Woods has a Nike SQ Dymo Driver, Nike Victory Red Blades, Nike Victory Red Wedge, Nike SV Tour Wedge, and Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select Putter, as well as Nike One Tour golf balls. Completing his look, Woods wears Nike Golf clothing and Nike Air Zoom TW Golf Shoes for maximum style and comfort on the golf course.
