UK toping the World Golf Rankings!

With Rory McIlroy's great performance at the US Open, and Luke Donald & Lee Westwood's continued good form, UK golfers now hold the top 3 positions of the world golf rankings for the first time in golf history.

Garcia Doing Well

Great to see Sergio Garcia doing well at the International Open in Munich this weekend. It's been a while since he has been at the top of the leaderboard - just a shame he couldn't win in the play-off!

Westwood #1

Great to see Lee Westwood at the top of the golf rankings! Although it seems wrong Westwood should move up in the rankings when he hasn't played for the last 3 weeks, he has performed brilliantly over the last 2 years, with numerous top 10 finishes. For consistency, he's got to be number 1!

The Open

It's finally here! The oldest Golf Championship returns this week – that’s right, it’s time for the 150th Open Championship! The only Major held outside the USA is due to start at Old Course at St Andrews, and there are a handful of British golfers that look to be hitting form at the right time to give themselves a great chance of success. But, can any of them win it?? What do you think?

To Grip??

Does anybody out there re-grip their golf clubs? I had always thought it's part of the way to tell when your golf clubs need updating, but looking at the new range from Black Widow, they look superb! The sales blurb also makes it seem as though it's a game improvement - maybe it's time to give it a try?!

Woods Not Automatic Pick for Ryder Cup

It's all very well Corey Pavin saying that Tiger Woods is not guaranteed an automatic place for the Ryder Cup, but if he's fit, can anyone honestly imagine him not being there? He is such an iconic golfer that the advertisers love, that it's hard to imagine a major golf tournament without him. Any golf tournament without Tiger Woods is worse as a result - he brings in the crowds and his aura inspires the golfers around him to raise their game, even when he isn't playing particularly well.
